Stops

Script Name: stops.php

Supports GET and POST. Equivalent SOAP functions will also be provided. Output formats: XML, JSON, and PHP.

Description

Return a stop list with coordinates, and linear distances for supplied route ID. Additionally provides supplied board and alight distances.

There is only one required value and that is route id. Only one route id is allowed per request.

•       Route = route id

The route id is an integer.

•       format [optional] = xml | json | php

By default output format is set to xml. JSON and PHP are native array formats.

Returns

Stops will return a list of text descriptions, linear distances, access rules and geometric coordinates in Longitude/Latitude values (decimal degrees/floating point).

  Is this not working?
  I'm requesting the following URL:
  http://mtaweb.metro.net/tm/stops.php?apiKey=<MY_API_KEY>&route=794&format=json

  And it doesn't return anything. It would be helpful if it could return some kind of response
  saying invalid params or invalid API key or some error message.
  And Why is it not working in my case?
  I'm sure I have the correct params is there anything I am missing?

  dgoodwin, will the stops have Latitude/Longitude in the response? Currently the response I get doesn't have lat/lon even though the above says it returns lat/lon values.
  Well, lat/lon values would be great then one could put them on a map.

  I am also eagerly awaiting those lat/long values so we can add to a MapQuest map and build cool some visual apps! Might want to update your doc to reflect that lat/long isn't available yet.
